sues Uber

Uber broke Pennsylvania regulation when it did not notify potential victims, together with hundreds of drivers, for a 12 months after it found hackers had stolen their private data, mentioned the state legal professional normal, who sued the San Francisco firm Monday.

The lawsuit, filed in Philadelphia, mentioned hackers stole the names and driver’s license numbers of no less than 13,500 Pennsylvania Uber drivers. It accused Uber of violating a state regulation requiring it to inform victims of an information breach inside a “affordable” time-frame.
