Baby advocates ask FTC to research YouTube over privateness

The fantastic print of YouTube’s phrases of service has a warning that goes unheeded by hundreds of thousands of youngsters who go to YouTube to observe cartoons, nursery rhymes, science experiments or movies of toys being unboxed.

“In case you are underneath 13 years of age, then please don’t use the service,” the phrases say. “There are many different nice internet sites for you.”

In a grievance filed Monday, youngster advocates and client teams are asking the Federal Commerce Fee to research and impose probably billions of of penalties on Google for allegedly violating kids’s on-line privateness and permitting adverts to focus on them.
