Letter confirms legal probe in Uber case

The federal government has opened a legal investigation over allegations former Uber government stole self-driving automotive know-how from a Google spin-off, a letter from the U.S. Legal professional’s workplace has confirmed.

The letter unsealed Wednesday by U.S. District Decide William Alsup marks the Justice Division’s first acknowledgment of the probe. The legal investigation was talked about in courtroom hearings two weeks in the past, however the division had declined to remark.

The Nov. 22 letter didn’t establish the targets of the investigation or the character of any crimes.
