Whatever your stance on DLC – it should be free or you’re happy to pay to extend your enjoyment of a game – it’s great to see Nintendo embracing the idea that it can keep people engaged with its titles by offering additional content.
The recent announcement of post-launch DLC for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild did, however, catch people off guard as it’s not really a very Nintendo thing to do.
Nintendo’s Bill Trinen chatted to IGN and attempted to explain why the DLC is coming, and why Nintendo chose to announce it before the game launched.
