News: Warner Bros. announced as publisher for the retail version of Rocket League

Psyonix has announced that Warner Bros. will publish the retail version of Rocket League when it comes out later this year. The developer has revealed that a worldwide retail distribution agreement has been agreed with the publisher for a retail release of the high-powered hybrid of football (not soccer) and driving game.

The updated retail release will be available in stores for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (with a Switch release to follow) later this year, and the developer has said it will announce details of the additional content at a later date.

Naturally, everyone involved is chuffed about this news. Warner Bros. senior vice president, Kevin Kebodeaux, gleefully enthused that, ‘Rocket League has such wide appeal across all audiences, it’s no wonder the game is such a huge success.’
